i have been trying get organized in the kitchen for some time now....so when visiting penny today, i was totally inspired to join this cool little group....mainly as way to get inspired, and also as a way to hold myself accountable weekly to making sure i am a bit more organized with our meals. i find myself making lists all the time, lists for this and that...and lists for our weekly meals. i love to get inspiration from other people and see what they are serving for dinner. i love the simple, little details of life like this. the best parts of my old journals to me now are when i read back on the 'details' of that day. the temperature of the weather, the day and time of the week i wrote, where i was writing at...be it a coffee house, or a park bench. and i often forget things, things that should be remembered, like recipes we love.
today i had an inspiration....i am planning on organizing my recipe box ( a new vintage wooden box i have treated myself to) in meals for each new season. i love Fall...and there are so many wonderful Fall meals that I make for my family every year. it's that time again and today i bought 2 very beautiful butternut squash. i am planning on roasting it and puree'ing it to add create my favorite soup anytime i wish! oh i will have to share my recipe with you. it is so simple and yet so yummy and healthy. i make mine with wild rice and and a dallop of sour cream or yogurt. as i write this, i have apple crisp baking in the oven and the whole house smells like autumn heaven. ok...how did i get so side tracked?

Holy COW! Keeper of the Chocolates.. you picked a perfect name to lure me here! Thanks for stopping by VI and for your nice comment. Your jewelry is GORGEOUS (my favorite word today I guess). Cheers!
Are you going to be opening a restaurant? I think it all sounds WONDERFUL!!!
Thank you again Shelbi for your great comments, you certainly have a good eye for it, you can read the paintings very well. Noting can compare to the landscape of the human face, all emotion in one small place. Rough is, I think the only way to capture it.
I love your blog, And the Image of the Tree in your back garden, its really beautiful.
Thank you again !
John
This is an inspiration to us! We need to write down our menus so we can get organized. We joined a group that meets with a personal chef, but we still need more help!

How could I not visit a blog with the name of Chocolate Girl! Fabulous blog and I love apple crisp too. It's my fave dessert in the fall topped with a good vanilla ice cream. Thank you for visiting my Blog. I hope you'll come often. Miles of Smiles ~ Lynn
